Dr. Amelia Mackarey is a general pediatrician committed to providing excellent care to all children.
Dr. Mackarey is from Scranton, Pennsylvania. She obtained two undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Micro and Molecular Biology from the Burnett Honors College at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. She pursued her medical education at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Mackarey began her pediatric residency training in the summer of 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She completed her intern year at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana and her second and third years of residency training at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, New York. She advocated for children's health, serving as an AAP resident delegate at both programs.
In her free time, Dr. Mackarey enjoys spending time with her husband and baby boy, shopping, traveling, doing work out classes, and reading.
